Application: A nighttime cream for the under-eye area, kept away from the eyes and lash line.
Best for: Dryness and the appearance of fine lines and crepiness around the eyes.
An evening eye-care step with AlphaRet technology.
When the skin around your eyes looks drier or more finely lined, choosing a dedicated formula can make more sense than taking your face product closer and closer to the lash line. Skinbetter Science EyeMax AlphaRet Overnight Cream was developed specifically for the delicate eye area.
Texture and placement both matter here. Tell us what you currently use around your eyes, whether you prefer a cream or gel, and what you are hoping to improve. We can help you compare options without assuming you need several eye products at once.

A few helpful things to know about this product:
- This is the eye-specific AlphaRet formula. Do not substitute the facial AlphaRet cream around the eyes.
- Use it at night. The supplier’s directions specify the under-eye area.
- Keep away from eyelids and the lash line. The supplier says these areas were not clinically tested.
- Application should be gentle. More rubbing or a thicker layer is not a way to speed up results.
Notable skin care ingredients:
AlphaRet, or ethyl lactyl retinoate: Retinoid and AHA technology.
Niacinamide, glycerin and sodium hyaluronate: Hydrating ingredients.
Acetyl hexapeptide-37: A peptide in the formula.
Jojoba esters and vitamin E: Conditioning and antioxidant ingredients.
These are selected ingredient highlights. For the current complete formula and any ingredients you need to avoid, check the label on your own packaging.

Frequently asked questions
Click a question to read the answer.
Can I use regular AlphaRet Overnight Cream around my eyes instead?
No. The facial product’s directions exclude the eye area. EyeMax is a separate formula designed for under-eye use.
Can I apply EyeMax to my eyelids?
The supplier says it was not clinically tested on eyelids or the lash line. Keep the product away from those areas and avoid getting it in your eyes.
Is it a morning eye cream?
The directions specify evening use. If you want a different daytime texture, ask us to compare options rather than adding more retinoid use.
How is it different from Instant Effect Gel EYE?
EyeMax is a retinoid cream for nighttime. Instant Effect is a lighter hydrating gel with a rollerball. The right choice depends on your concern and the kind of product you want to use.
Can I use it during pregnancy?
Avoid retinoid products during pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding or planning pregnancy, ask your physician about suitable alternatives before using EyeMax.
What if I already use an eye cream?
Share its name with us and explain what you want to change. We can help you decide whether to replace that step instead of automatically layering two products in the same area.
