- Glide on to skin before exposure to sunlight. Blend with fingers.
- Reapply every two hours.
- Broad-spectrum, UVA/UVB protection.
- Protection from infrared radiation (IR), blue (HEV) light and pollution.
Made with the same, patented EnviroScreen® Technology that we love in the Colorescience® Face Shield and Face Shield Flex, this sport stick SPF is perfect for on-the-go sun protection. It provides 80 minutes of water resistance, versus the 40 minutes in Face Shield and Face Shield Flex.
Avoid messy, ‘drippy’ sunscreen application (if that’s not your thing). Instead, this mineral, water resistant sunscreen with 13% zinc oxide goes on like deodorant – you just glide it on!
It can be used on the face, lips or body. Yes that’s right – the face – it’s non-comedogenic! It finishes dry without a white cast, while still softening and conditioning the skin with jojoba esters and squalane.
Plus, in addition to providing a strong UVA and UVB block, it also protects from blue light, infrared radiation and pollution.
Being chemical free, this sunscreen is safe for children (but consult with a doctor before using it on babies under 6 months old).
Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Sport Stick SPF 50 is:
- Chemical free
- Synthetic fragrance-free
- Dermatologist recommended
A few helpful things to know about this product:
Do not store Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Sport Stick SPF 50 in high temperatures (such as in a car or in direct sunlight!). The heat can cause it to lose shape. But it won’t lose its effectiveness if you happen to ‘melt’ it by accident.
This product goes on white, which helps you see where you’re applying protection. However, it dries clear, without a white caste.
Use sunscreen liberally! Your goal is to create a physical block between your skin and the sun.
If you prefer a lotion-based application for the body, try Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Body Shield SPF 50 w/ EnviroScreen® (comes in 2 shade options).
Notable skin care ingredients:
Colorescience® never skimps on quality. When you get a Colorescience® sunscreen, you’re getting more than sun protection. This brand goes ‘all the way’ to provide several added skin health benefits. The Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Sport Stick SPF 50 includes ingredients like:
Iron oxides – the main protector from blue (HEV) light in this product, this mineral, non-chemical ingredient is commonly used as a colourant in makeup and tinted sunscreen.
Lipochroman® – a powerful antioxidant used to fight oxygen free radicals (ROS), as well as nitrogen free radicals (RNS) and carbon free radicals (RCS), which come from air pollution. It was shown to be 173% more effective at cell preservation than vitamin E, resveratrol, ferulic acid and other antioxidants. It was also shown to prevent 99.3% of DNA damage from a common air pollutant. In a scientific study, skin showed a 36.7% improvement in being able to defend against free radicals after 4-weeks of use. Even more, it has been shown to slightly decrease pigmentation.
Squalane – an emollient (i.e. lubricant) that moisturizes, smooths and strengthens skin. But don’t confuse it with squalene.
Bisabolol – a chamomile oil extract for moisturizing and calming the skin, as well as providing UV protection. It also has antimicrobial properties.
Physavie® – a plant extract for antioxidant protection against infrared radiation (IR) and signs of aging. It can also help restore the skin barrier and calm the skin.
Jojoba esters – a hydrogenated form of jojoba oil to act as a skin soother, moisturizer and skin barrier shield.
Tocopheryl acetate and tocopherol – forms of Vitamin E to combat free radical damage from UV rays.
Zinc Oxide 13% – providing broad spectrum SPF protection against UVA and UVA rays, as well as from free radical sun damage.
Note: iron oxides and other beneficial components of this product, noted above, are considered ‘inactive’ ingredients. These are drug terms to describe the activity of ingredients in the way they operate on our bodies.
