Your skincare routine hasn’t changed, but your skin seems to have lost some of its brightness. Makeup doesn’t sit quite the way it used to, and you’re starting to notice a little less firmness. You may not be looking for a dramatic change. You just want your skin to look fresher.
ThermaBright combines Thermage and Clear + Brilliant in the same appointment at BC Laser & Skincare in Surrey. It brings together two treatments with different strengths, allowing us to consider both firmness and the look and feel of your skin’s surface.
What goes into ThermaBright
Thermage uses radiofrequency energy to encourage collagen remodelling and improve the appearance of lax skin and wrinkles. Changes develop over time, making it the part of the treatment plan focused on firmness. 1
Clear + Brilliant is a fractional laser that creates tiny treatment zones in the skin. It can help with radiance, the feel of your skin and the appearance of pores. These are the details that can make a complexion look refreshed even when you aren’t trying to change anything about your features. 2

When the combination might make sense
If you’re noticing early looseness along with a duller complexion or uneven texture, ThermaBright may be worth discussing. Tell us which changes bother you most and how much recovery time fits your life. That helps us work out whether the two treatments belong in the same plan.
You don’t have to choose a combination simply because it’s available. We may recommend one treatment, a different approach, or separate visits after assessing your skin. Clear + Brilliant can complement Thermage, but the timing and suitability need to be decided individually. 2
ThermaBright or ThermaFrax
The names sound similar because both include Thermage. The difference is the laser: ThermaBright pairs it with Clear + Brilliant, while ThermaFrax pairs it with Fraxel.
Clear + Brilliant is generally a lighter option for refreshing the skin, with less downtime than more intensive resurfacing. Fraxel may be a better fit when we need to work on more pronounced sun damage, texture concerns or certain scars. The right choice depends on your skin and goals, rather than which treatment sounds stronger. 3, 4
If you’re unsure which sounds more like you, bring that question to us. We’ll explain the differences in plain language and help you weigh the expected changes against the recovery involved.
Plan for the days after your appointment
A treatment aimed at brighter skin can still leave you looking flushed at first. Clear + Brilliant may cause temporary redness, swelling, dryness or sensitivity. We’ll explain how to care for your skin and when to return to makeup, exercise and your usual skincare. 5
The combined visit needs its own aftercare plan. If you have an event coming up, tell us before booking so we can discuss the timing. Your skin’s response matters more than a promise of being ready by a particular day.
Tell us about your skin and health
Before treatment, we’ll need to know about your medications, recent procedures, skin conditions and any reactions you’ve had before. Mention active irritation, infections, a tendency to scar or sensitivity to light. These details can change how we approach laser treatment. 5
Thermage isn’t suitable for people with implanted electrical devices, such as pacemakers. Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding too. We’ll review risks, including burns, changes in pigmentation and scarring, along with the more common temporary effects, before you decide to go ahead. 1, 5
Questions about keeping your results going
Will every appointment include both treatments?
No. A ThermaBright visit doesn’t mean you need Thermage every time you have Clear + Brilliant. Follow-up treatments depend on your skin, the changes you’re hoping for and how you respond.
When should I judge the result?
Give your skin time to recover first. Surface changes and improvements in firmness may appear on different schedules. We’ll help you understand what to look for and when to review your progress. 1, 5
