You can spend an evening comparing clinics, scrolling through photos and reading reviews, then realise you still cannot answer one simple question: who would actually be doing my injections?
If you are looking for Botox in Surrey, that is a useful place to start. A familiar clinic name and an appealing price do not tell you everything about the person you will meet, the assessment you will receive or who you can call afterwards.
At BC Laser & Skincare, our neuromodulator injections are performed exclusively by Dr. Sachit Shah and Dr. Yasmin Garcia. Both are licensed physicians who participate in ongoing training to keep current with developments and protocols in aesthetic medicine.
Ask who will perform your treatment
“Physician-led” can describe how a clinic operates without telling you who will be in the treatment room. Ask for your injector’s name and professional designation when you book. If seeing a physician matters to you, make that part of the conversation from the beginning.
We are happy to tell you about our two physician injectors before you make an appointment. You can meet Dr. Shah and Dr. Garcia on our doctors page, including their backgrounds and training.
Ask about experience, then ask about continuing education
Dr. Shah has been performing injectable treatments since 1997, before BC Laser & Skincare opened in 2000. That distinction matters: his injection experience began before the clinic itself.
Experience is one part of the picture. Continuing education is another. New products, updated guidance and evolving techniques give clinicians reasons to keep learning throughout their careers. Ask how your injector stays current and how they decide whether a new approach belongs in your care.
You do not need to know medical terminology to have that conversation. “What training have you done recently?” and “How would you approach my concerns?” are perfectly reasonable questions.
Notice how the consultation feels
Tell us what brought you in, what makes you hesitant and what you would like us to understand. You might have a very specific question, or you might simply want help sorting through conflicting information.
A consultation should leave room for your medical history, previous treatments, questions about risk and a discussion of alternatives. It should also leave you free to take time before deciding. Being curious does not commit you to treatment.
Ask what happens after you leave
Before agreeing to any procedure, find out how follow-up works. Who should you contact with a concern? When should you expect a reply? Is there a review appointment, and what does it include? Ask about any fees before proceeding.
Keep the clinic’s contact details and the written instructions you receive. If something worries you afterwards, tell the treating clinician what is happening instead of relying on a social-media comment to interpret it.
Questions worth bringing to your appointment
Who is my injector? Ask for a name, designation and information about relevant training.
What will my assessment cover? Find out how your health history and previous procedures will be considered.
What is included in the quote? Ask about the consultation, treatment and any follow-up charges.
Can I take time to decide? You should be able to leave with your questions answered and consider your options.
