Why you’ll love chemical peels for skin renewal
Quick results
Chemical peels speed up your skin’s shedding and replenishing process. This helps get rid of rid of burn marks, sun damage, brown spots and mild scars that linger in your ‘old’ skin.
Better absorption
When your skin’s top layer is removed, it’s like removing the ‘onion skin’ of your dermis. Then, your skin can better absorb topical treatments, resulting in more benefits.
Minimal downtime
Patients who get medium-grade chemical peels usually heal within a week. They experience only a few days of peeling. Little to no discomfort is reported.
Clinically-studied results:
“Nearly all peeling agents have demonstrated excellent clinical efficacy.”
A 2023 scientific review of chemical peels shows that while lasers are getting popular, chemical peels remain “indispensable” as a way to rejuvenate skin.
Chemical peels have been widely-used for decades. They are comprehensively studied for the treatment of various skin conditions.
Why us?
We’ve been performing chemical peels for over two decades, under the direction of a doctor. Being a medical clinic means we can offer the diagnosis and support of an on-staff doctor, should you need it.
We’re also able to perform chemical peels of varying strengths, depending on your case. For example, as a physician-led clinic, we can perform a glycolic peel with the HydraFacial™, giving you added benefits to your facial. We can advance to stronger treatments, for those that require them (such as carbolic acid, also known as phenol, or Trichloroacetic acid, known as TCA).
To help you achieve your best results, we customize treatment plans for your skin. By using a variety of technologies and solutions at our clinic, we can ‘mix and match’ treatments in-house. For example, chemical peels can be performed alongside RF microneedling, laser skin rejuvenation and more.
What is getting a chemical peel like?
Select formula
An aesthetician will choose a specific, medical-grade, chemical peel formula to address your skin concerns. It could be a Jessner peel, or another.
Apply solution
After cleansing, the chemical solution is applied to the target area. It sits on the skin for a period of time in order to dissolve old cells. It may sting a little.
Remove & calm
The chemical solution is removed and a calming agent is applied, to neutralize the acid. If needed, the skin will be cooled with a fan. This follows with sunscreen.
