Bellafill^® can be used for the following:

• Laugh lines around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds)

Bellafill^® contains what are called, “polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres.” They go inside of a collagen solution, and are injected via a syringe (needle) into the skin.

As the collagen solution dissipates, the tiny PMMA microspheres stay in the dermal layer of the skin where they’ve been placed. Over time, your body builds on the PMMA by producing its own collagen.

Thus, your skin gets a long-term ‘platform’ to lift its creases and wrinkles. This all happens at a cellular-sized level (the PMMA microspheres are between 30 to 50 microns).

During the treatment, no anaesthetic is required beyond the lidocaine that is already in the product.

For each area treated for wrinkles, our Vancouver Bellafill^® injections can last 5 years or longer. There is a possibility that you’ll need minor maintenance treatments, especially in the first year.

For acne scars, Bellafill^® can last at least 1 year. Top-up sessions for spot treatments may be needed after the first treatment.

Initial Bellafill^® results show immediately. The solution continues to work over time. The idea is to form a foundation on the first injection, and then merely build upon it over time.

Remember that while Bellafill^® is doing its job in your skin, you will continue aging. Therefore, some people choose to continue maintenance treatments with dermal filler. That said, most patients who opt for this cosmetic filler don’t need to come in very often to experience its intended results.

Bellafill^® has been exhaustively studied for safety as a cosmetic skin volumizer. The main ingredient, PMMA, is commonly used as synthetic body implantation. It has been in existence for over 65 years. Originally it was used as bone cement. Bellafill^® is also approved by Health Canada, and the FDA in the United States.

Downtime is minimal with our Vancouver Bellafill^® injections. You will be able to resume all normal activities immediately after treatment.

You may experience some swelling, bruising or lumps in the area that has been treated. These should clear up in about a week.

You must be at least 21 years old for a Bellafill^® treatment.
