- Morning and evening.
- Face and neck.
- Wrinkles, skin texture, skin tone.
- All skin types.
This is a growth factor serum for the face, neck and chest, using a 93.6% concentration of the protein messengers that stimulate cell growth.
However, this is no ordinary growth-factor serum. Its bottle is packed with Tissue Nutrient Solution (hence, the term TNS®). In that solution, there are over 380 growth factors and cytokines, ready to signal your skin’s rejuvenative processes.
Then, to help it along with more skin support, it contains antioxidants, collagen, and matrix proteins.
What does all that mean? Anti-aging goodness! In short, this formula is meant to mimic your skin’s natural way of producing collagen, fighting wrinkles and maintaining tone and texture. It’s a very scientific, ‘high tech’ approach to anti-aging skin care. And yes, there are studies to back its claims, too.
Growth factors are found in your body, and regulate skin rejuvenation and repair. When combined with antioxidants or Retinols, they show even more promising results.
That said, if you’re looking for the best-of-the-best when it comes to growth factor products, you may want to try TNS® Advanced+ Serum by SkinMedica® (Dual Chamber). It’s the latest advancement in this line.
The predecessor to TNS® Advanced+ Serum would be another favourite: the TNS Essential Serum®. It offers an additional, second formula of antioxidants, in a dual-chamber delivery system.
TNS® growth factor serum was the first of its kind in the industry. It launched after SkinMedica® researchers succeeded in extracting and formulating a stable, human-derived growth factor for topical skin care use.
A few helpful things to know about this product:
Seeing results from this product will take at least 6-12 weeks (90 days), when used twice daily – in the morning and evening.
You may feel dry when first adapting to this product. Use it with high-quality serums, moisturizers and sunscreens, to balance hydration. If you need a consultation to decide which ones to use for your skin, feel free to contact us! We’d be happy to help.
This product can have a distinct odour due to its high concentration of proteins. Some people love it, whereas some people find it…well, distinct. It’s not stinky, though. And, it dissipates quickly, since this product is absorbed into the skin soon after application.
We recommend waiting for this product to dry on your skin’s surface before applying other products in your regimen, such as hyaluronic acid, retinols, moisturizers or sunscreens. But, be sure to use all of these according to your doctor’s instructions!
Mature skin has seen the most improvement from using this product. That is not to say it doesn’t work on younger skin; in fact, we would say, it’s probably better to use it early than to wait till you’re older.
TNS® growth factors come in a skincare line by SkinMedica®. The series also includes:
- TNS® Advanced+ Serum
- TNS Essential Serum®
- TNS® Ceramide Treatment Cream
- TNS® Illuminating Eye Cream
- TNS® Eye Repair
Notable skin care ingredients:
It is so advanced, yet so simple. The ingredient list is short, and its main ‘winner’ is a stable formulation of Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media. That is, a 93.6% concentration of Tissue Nutrient Solution (TNS®).
