Cellulite Treatments that Work
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is used to describe superficial areas of trapped fat, which cause uneven dimpling or “orange peel” skin. It appears in 80% of post-adolescent women. Common areas where cellulite is found are the thighs, buttocks, and the abdomen. Cellulite is not related to obesity as it occurs in overweight, normal, and thin women.
What is so different about Velashape for cellulite reduction?
The Velashape is the first device that combines the powerful ELOS™ Technology – the combination of radio frequency and light energies – with gentle suction for tissue mobilization. This Velashape technology is the only technology that reaches deep enough into the fat tissue to effectively improve the appearance of cellulite. The light energy pre-heats the treatment area. Simultaneously, a gentle suction aids in the deep penetration of the radio frequency energy into the fat tissue – redistributing and increasing the metabolism of the fat tissue. Toxins and water are removed by the body’s lymph system.
In addition the production of collagen is stimulated, which plumps and firms the skin and the circulation in the treated areas is greatly improved supporting overall health.
Is this treatment safe and is it painful?
This treatment has been approved by Health Canada after independent studies were carried out on the procedure. It is non invasive and painless (some warmth may be felt). It does not require any body suits or creams or injections.
How long are the treatments and how many will I need?
The treatments are 40 to 90 minutes long. In the initial phase 2 treatments for 5 weeks is mandatory to optimize results. Thereafter maintenance treatments are recommended as necessary, usually every 2-3 months but may be longer depending on individuals.
How can I be sure that this is going to work?
As with any procedure, there are no absolute guarantees however what we do have is scientific proof, from an independent study, that shows the differences in appearance of cellulite and also the reduction of inches in size of hips, buttocks, waist, abdomen after a course of treatment with the Velashape. The test subjects in this study were carefully controlled in terms of no dieting, weight loss and so on during the course of treatments.
